Directions for men off mental health support groups alongside events such as football, boules, and group walks and more. Participating in these activities not only boosts your physical health but also enhances your mental well-being.

Mandem Meetup

Mandem Meetup is all about breaking stigmas and building brotherhoods. It’s a grassroots charity that helps improve and reshape the conversation around men’s mental health and wellbeing. 

It’s an open and inclusive community for anyone who identifies as a man. They use a mix of social, holistic and less traditional types of support, anything from hiking and football to chess, as well as peer-to-peer talking circles and more.

It’s a really welcoming space where men can connect, talk and support each other.

Longsight, Levenshulme, Gorton & Belle Vue A+LUK Support Group

Asthma + Lung UK believes that every breath matters, and that everyone should have the right to breathe freely, regardless of age, background, income, ethnicity or gender.

They run a session on the last Monday of every month from 10:30am to 12:30pm, which is open to all.

They’re there to support anyone who needs help with their breathing.

Inspired Taskforce

This is a welcoming space for men to connect, receive support and improve their well being.

You will enjoy a healthy, free breakfast while reducing at home expenses & meeting new people.

Sessions provided by The Inspired Taskforce, and are on Fridays at 10.30am at the Inspire community centre.

Levenshulme Good Neighbours

LGN is proud to partner with Gorton Hub and present free Tai Chi sessions to over 50’s in Manchester.

This is a new, friendly exercise session taking place every Monday at the multipurpose:
Gorton Hub Complex, 27 Garratt Way.

The classes run from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, and are instructed by award-winning Tai Chi Instructor George Shu Lee. Beginners are very welcome.

ANDYSMANCLUB

ANDYSMANCLUB runs peer-to-peer support groups for men over 18 going through storms in their lives, every Monday at 7 pm, excluding bank holidays.

Groups are free to attend with no registration required.

UK MEN'S SHEDS ASSOCIATION

Men’s sheds are about connection, conversation and creation which is what joining a Men’s Shed is all about.

Men’s Sheds encourage men to come together to make, repair and repurpose, supporting projects in their local communities.

This improves wellbeing, reducing loneliness and combatting social isolation.

Men's shed at St Margaret's Church

The plan is to build a shed in the grounds of St Margaret’s Church, Manchester (CofE).

Men’s sheds are currently working with an architect to design a new building as a centre for many kinds of activity.

Mentell’s mission is to reconnect men with the circle, by offering every man the opportunity to talk.

Dad Matters

Dad Matters run drop-ins at maternity centres and community venues, and offer 1:1 peer support specifically for dads.

They help dads make sense of fatherhood and guide them towards services and information that can support them.

They’re also there for dads experiencing anxiety, stress, or mental health challenges.

It’s all about making sure dads feel supported and know they’re not alone.
