NHS - Bowel Cancer screening
Bowel cancer screening is a test you do at home that checks for signs of bowel cancer. It’s offered to everyone aged 50 to 74.
If you’re aged 50 to 74 and registered with a GP, you’ll automatically get a bowel cancer screening home test kit (FIT kit) through the post every 2 years.
If you haven’t been invited or you think you’re eligible then call the helpline below.

NHS - AAA Screening
If you’re a man in your 65th year, you’re invited for a quick 5–10 minute AAA scan.
It checks your main abdominal artery for swelling, which usually has no symptoms.
If everything’s fine, you won’t need another check for years. If something’s found, they’ll monitor it or refer you for treatment.

NHS - Health Check
NHS Health Checks are available in community venues across Manchester to help spot your risk of heart disease.
You’re eligible if you’re 40–74, registered with a Manchester GP, not already diagnosed or on medication for related conditions, and haven’t had a check in the last 5 years.
The check takes about 30 minutes and includes blood pressure, a small blood test, plus height and weight. You’ll get your results straight away.
